The creator of Punx Media's name is Teona but she goes by Wave$. 

Wave$ grew up a military brat and experienced music and art from all over the United States growing up. Georgia, Colorado, Houston, Louisianna, and more! In 2015, Wave$ went to college at Georgia State University. She majored in film and media and minored in journalism after going in undecided. Late 2016, Wave$ came up with the idea for Punx media! She was drawn into the culture of on the ground journalism and was heavily inspired by YoMTVRaps and Fab Five Freddy. She wanted to do something similar but with rock music! After years of planning, Punx Media has finally came to life! The goal for punx media is to give rock bands, specifically punk bands an outlet that will accept them and their music for what it is. Letting people just be themselves, authentically. Wave$ goal is for PUNX MEDIA to be a community that helps others and plays SICK music while doing so!
